People suffer from famine
Because their rulers enforce heavy taxation
That is why they starve

People are difficult to govern
Because their rulers interfere too much
That is why they are difficult to govern
People think little of death

Because their rulers demand too much of life
That is why they think little of death
The treasures of life are gained by those who let go

And missed by those who hold on
