The New Evangelization
Pope John Paul II had big visions for the Church. He
believed all the Church’s energies should move toward the New
Evangelization for the new millennium. One of the main focal points
of John Paul II’s pontificate was ecumenical and interreligious
dialog. The Church would not enter the third millennium in unity,
and within this view, he believed this contradicted everything Jesus
constituted. He called upon all Christians to come together and be
united as one, under one God, for the New Evangelization.
Mission of the Redeemer by John Paul II tells us the crisis
of our engagement in mission is not the act of faith, but the content
of faith. We must be armed with a basic understanding of our faith
in a renewed expression for modern times. Therefore, the Church
