a 1 Corinthians 1:20-25 (Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe?
Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of
the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God
through wisdom, God decided, through the foolishness of our proclamation,
to save those who believe. For Jews demand signs and Greeks desire
wisdom, but we proclaim Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and
foolishness to Gentiles, but to those who are the called, both Jews and
Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For God's
foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God's weakness is stronger
            than human strength.)
            1 Corinthians 2:6-16, 1 Corinthians 3:19, John 14:6

b Matthew 23:1-7 (Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, “The
scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat; therefore, do whatever they
teach you and follow it; but do not do as they do, for they do not practice
what they teach. They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on
the shoulders of others; but they themselves are unwilling to lift a finger to
            move them...)

c 1 Corinthians 2:9-11 (But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen nor ear
heard, nor the human heart conceived, what God has prepared for those
who love him” - these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit; for
the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For what human
being knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So
also no one comprehends what is truly God’s except the Spirit of God.)

d Hebrews 12:22-24 (But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the
living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal
gathering, and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven,
and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,
and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood
that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.)
