BFG Framework for the New Evangelization
Divine Calling of the Trinity: Embodying the 3 Rs (Restore, Renewal, Respond)
The Holy Trinity, as the supreme source of unity, gathers us in the sacred mission of the New Evangelization. In His love, The Father gave us the Word through The Son to “Restore” us with His truth, bringing “Renewal” to our hearts and minds through His teachings. By the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to respond to the call of holiness, carrying out the mission to make disciples of all nations. The BFG Handbook provides a clear path for the New Evangelization through a process centered on the 3 Rs: Restore, Renewal, and Respond. It Restores the truth by presenting a new expression of the Gospel, guides us through the Trinitarian Method of Spiritual Renewal, and ignites an ardor that Transforms us—an inner light that illuminates the presence of God. It is not a different gospel, but a presentation of the gospel that is new through its Expression, through its Methods, and through its Ardor, that resonates with our modern world.

How the Trinity Parallel the 3 Rs for the New Evangelization?
Divine Calling of the Trinity affirms that the BFG Movement is rooted in God’s divine initiative, not human invention. Grounded in John 17:21—“May they all be one”—the movement reflects the unity of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is a call to participate in God’s redemptive plan, aligning with the New Evangelization. The Trinity models perfect relational unity, which the BFG Movement seeks to reflect through its mission and the 3 Rs: Restore, Renewal, and Respond. The effectiveness of the New Evangelization relies on integrating these three Rs. It is a continuous cycle that should be repeated in our daily actions to protect ourselves from external distractions and influences, allowing us to stay focused on God. On our journey of faith, the Trinitarian M.A.P. for each of the 81 chapters provide a structured guide for the ongoing renewal of our spirit. And through our renewed spirit, we are transformed to confidently proclaim the Good News.
FATHER: RESTORE

THE NEW EXPRESSION: Identity
The First R is centered on the EXPRESSION—finding the right words to “Restore” the Truth by telling the story of God’s Love in a way that resonates with today’s modern culture. Restore is the Identity Role: Knowing yourself as God’s beloved child, created in His image. This identity aligns with the expression of the Gospel, bringing clarity and truth that anchor believers in the foundational truths of the faith. This reflects the Father’s role in creating and restoring all things. John Paul II emphasized that the crisis is not of Faith itself but rather a challenge in understanding and communicating the content of that Faith in ways that resonate with today’s society. To address this issue, the BFG Handbook is a necessary tool for the New Evangelization that offers a new “Expression” of the gospel to “Restore” the truth that is in line with St. Thérèse’s “Little Way,” making holiness possible.
SON: RENEWAL

THE NEW METHOD: Intimacy
The Second R is centered on the METHOD—true “Renewal” of our spirit comes when the Truth is restored. The Truth is not just theoretical knowledge but a living, transformative reality found in Jesus Christ. Renewal is the Intimacy Role: Growing in a personal relationship with Jesus, deepening love and trust. Redeemer, Brother (Matthew 12:50), and savior through His life, death, and resurrection. Through the “Trinitarian Method”, M.A.P.—Mindset, Aim, and Practice—becomes a compass for renewal, grounded in Love, Trust, and Faith. The BFG Handbook will guide us through this “Method”, to deepen our understanding of how the Love of the Father shapes our MINDSET, how Trust in the Son directs our AIM, and how Faith in the Holy Spirit guides our daily PRACTICE. This PRACTICE prepares our hearts with the necessary tools to confidently share the Joy of the Gospel.

HOLY SPIRIT: RESPOND

THE NEW ARDOR: Mission
The Third R is centered on the ARDOR—the renewal of our spirit ignites a deeper faith, empowering us to “Respond” to the call of holiness and share the Joy of the Gospel confidently. Respond is the Mission Role: Being sent to share God’s love, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to serve others with compassion and purpose. The Spirit is our sanctifier and guide, enabling us to live according to God’s will. Mission is not just an act—it is a response to the Spirit’s prompting: a calling to witness, serve, and evangelize. This renew “Ardor” is an inner light force that inspires us to live by higher moral principles. Through this light, we pave the way for others to follow our example. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, believers are strengthened to answer God’s call to holiness and fulfill their mission to make disciples of all nations. Through this unity, we are transformed, embodying the Body of Christ, illuminating His presence with a renewed zeal and fire of faith.
